2008 Queen Bed
60" wide - 90" long - 72" tall

      Only the headboard and footboard of the bed are in this photo. It comes with walnut side rails and maple slats to hold up the mattress and box spring. All of the walnut feet are different, as are all of the maple post tops. A maple tenon connects the leg parts together as well as passing through the top rail. The top rail is laminated from 1/8" thick layers cut and stacked sequentially. The curly cherry is from Horizon in Pennsylvania, the walnut is from a tree that grew near the 101 freeway in Ukiah, CA., and the hard maple is from a sawmill near where I grew up in Ohio.

I wanted to do something "whimsical" - something similar to what I was doing back in l965.
