Curved Nightstand
23" wide - 20" deep - 30" tall

      This is one of a pair of nightstands. The legs, the curved panels and the top border are curly cherry. The top is big leaf maple burl. The drawer pull is curly walnut. The drawer is on ball bearing slides. The legs are turned and mortised on the lathe and the slot for the panel ends is routed on the lathe with the index head set over 1/24th from the mortise setting. The 1/2" thick panels are glued up in a mold from four 1/8" layers. They are rabbited using a jig on the shaper. This pair of small tables was an experiment in combining curved panels with turned legs.
