This is the nicest and the most elaborate of the Windsors that I built. I had a lot of trouble with bending the Cherry - the bow wanted to break rather than bend even after being steamed for over two hours. Then it wanted to split when I drilled for the spindles an put them through it. I turned the bottom of each spindle and then took them out of the lathe and tapered them with a block plane and a spokeshave. I still have it and I expect my great grandchildren, whenever they come along, to get rocked to sleep in it. I should probably make it a crate to be moved around in as needed…1977
