Wine Table

wine table

These are the carved end stretchers for the ends of the table that I was making for The Wine Museum Of San Francisco. One stretcher is upright and the other is lying down so that I could work on it. I cut out the table parts, drilled for the dowel joints, assembled and finished the table in Forest Knolls. We were camping in a grove of Redwoods down near the creek and I was doing this craving on a Redwood stump. We used an outhouse I had built nearby and we. bathed in the creek for a couple of weeks while I dug out a spring and ran a piece of plastic pipe through a sunny area to a tree where I rigged a shower. Solar power to heat water - imagine! 1973
